Justine Thomas is the editor of Crime & Court and provides editorial oversight for the site’s evergreen crime case files and legal explainers.

She holds an LLB (Hons) and was the recipient of a university law prize. She served as a magistrate and presiding justice in England and Wales from 2019 to 2025, giving her direct experience of criminal procedure, sentencing, and court process.
